Updates: Album Still In Progress, New EP, Etc.

So, it's been a while since I posted anything, again. I'm deeply sorry to keep everyone waiting. So, here's what is going on.

The End To All Knowledge:
I know it's been taking so long to get this album done. It's progressing! The final draft of the short story is almost complete! Once, that is all said and done, I will start working on the final versions of all the songs right away! That's going to be the majority of my spring. And I promise, there will be more video updates once the recording process starts. I also am starting to sketch out ideas for artwork and physical packaging ideas.

New EP:
If you saw the Get Some! Records site I'm going to come out with a new EP this weekend titled "Her." This was kind of a last minute decision. I had this track lying around for a while and I didn't really know what I wanted to do with it. So, I decided to make it a single and add a remix of that track as well. There is a rumor that this might be the start of a new EP series. Who knows?

New(ish) Remix:
On November 11, I posted a YouTube video of a remix for Showbread's song "The Prison Comes Undone." Around January, Showbread posted on their site that they were going to come out with a remix album for their latest album titled "Who Can Know It?". They said that the fans had an opportunity to have a track on this remix album. Since they are my favorite band, I jumped at the chance right away. No one really knew when they were going to put this out. They never put out a deadline to have all the tracks be sent in. So, I sent in the track around late May. The remix album titled "Who Can Unknow It?" came out as a digital release on November 2nd. As of right now, it's only available to get on their online store. They did say that they are going to come out with a physical release soon.

Other Updates:
I plan to be doing another photoshoot within the next coming months. A couple new remixes are also in the process of being made. There's also a possibility that I'm going to be producing some tracks for a couple singer/songwriters. There really isn't anything official with that yet. Plans are still being processed. I hope to have more information about that in the coming months.

All Tracks For The 3 House EPs Are Done!!!

As I'm typing this, I'm bouncing the final track to the 3 House EPs that I'm going to be coming out with really soon!!! I'm so excited to put these tracks out! In my opinion, this is the best work I've ever done, but that's for you to judge.

Here's the tracklist for each EP:

Vol. 1:
1. Can't Compare
2. Can't Compare (Part 2)

Vol. 2:
1. No Hotshot
2. No Hotshot (Part 2)

Vol. 3:
1. Like A Child
2. Like A Child (Part 2)

Basically, each part to each track is completely different. They just use the same sample. This was an experiment to see how I can make two songs with the same sample track and I think it came it out well.

I will be posting a preview of the EPs really soon!!

The First Draft To The Short Story Is Complete!

After about a year of planning, outlining, and writing, the first draft to the short story "The End To All Knowledge is complete! If you don't know already, this short story is going to accompany my third full length album with the same name, which will be released sometime next year. I hope to have the final draft of this short story completed by the end of this month, so I can finally start on the music!

Lots Of Updates

So, this summer has been nothing but writing! I've been brainstorming ideas for songs, writing my short story, and putting together the concept series. On top of that, I've been working almost everyday this summer. That's the only thing that's slowing me down a little. This post is to give everyone an update and explaining what in the world is going on with Electromatic.

The End To All Knowledge:
The short story "The End To All Knowledge" is going to accompany my next album with the same name. Now, I wanted to get the short story done before I started making the final version of the album. Reason being is because the music is the 'soundtrack' to the written story. What's going to happen is while you read the story, you listen to the music at the same time. It's similar to Showbread's concept album "Anorexia Nervosa", but not as complex.

I have about a few more paragraphs to write in this short story, then the first draft will be complete! Then I can piece together the music.

Concept Series:
This concept series I'm working on is going to be for the first two albums I put out already and a few more albums in the future. I'm not going to give out too much information right now, but in the end, there will be a book.

3 EPs:
While "The End To All Knowledge" is in production, I'm going to be putting out 3 House EPs. Each EP will have 2 tracks. I'm planning on releasing the first one within the next month or so. I don't have a name for this EP series yet, but when I do, you'll know.

Keep checking back here for more updates!
Peace.

I Finally Have A Website!

For so long I've wanted to have a website and that has finally happened! The site is not that complicated, it's a simple Weebly site that will have all my music that I've ever created. The site is not 100% complete, but it will be updated for the next few weeks. Without further ado, here's the link to my first website!

Updates!! Updates!! Updates!!

Ok, so it's been over 6 months that I have not posted anything! Now, all of that is going to change starting now. Over these past 6 months, a lot of things have been done behind the scenes regarding Electromatic. All of your questions will now be answered.

November-April
:
I have been putting a lot of work and thought to get The End To All Knowledge done well. I've been writing and recording small demos of different ideas that I could be using for the album and the results are fantastic. I've realized when I was trying to complete the album last year, that I planned this horribly. It was not going well. The whole thing started to fail when I was doing the photoshoot. When I did the photoshoot in the summer of last year, I thought the album was done. I did not have any plans on what photos I was taking. Everything was improved. Then the songs started to not even match with the photos that were taken. That is why it now a crappy demo version.

Over the fall of last year, I started over the writing process. I scrapped all of the songs I've made before and started out fresh. I thought that I would get the album completed in the fall, but I was wrong. I poorly planned once again. I had no outline for the short story that goes along with the album. So, I was essentially writing the songs and the full story at the same time! That made the process even longer than what it could have been. During this time, I had the first three songs and the three chapters completely written. In November, I started to work on the fourth song/chapter for the album. Because I didn't plan anything out, it was impossible to get the song completed, let alone write the chapter. The short story has a pretty complicated plot to it. That's why it was difficult to write it out at all without having a summery or an outline. So, with nothing working out, I stopped the whole writing process together and took a break. This break lasted until the beginning of April.

During this break, I was getting myself organized. Everything was a mess and I essentially had to get "my life back in order." This break gave me a bunch of ideas that I could use in the future. Unfortunately, I didn't write a lot of them down, so I forgot most of them.

Then, the beginning of April rolled around and I decided that it was time to start making Electronic music again. I sat down, grabbed my notebooks and started writing for the next month. I did not work on any music, just wrote. After the whole month, I came up with more of an outline for concept in The End To All Knowledge. I still don't have the full idea of how the story is going to end, but I'm going to be working on that in the next couple weeks. I also started to write an outline for this concept series (I'm going to explain that in a little bit). I also wrote a few different songs just to get into the habit of making songs again. I also wrote these songs to get used to using my recently purchased Pro Tools. These songs will be released as an EP hopefully soon. I've also been learning the ins and outs of Pro Tools so I can produce higher quality music.

Concept Series:
The first two albums I've released and the next five albums are all going to be in a concept series. The name of the series will remain secret for the time being. I'm working on a website that will have all the information regarding this concept series.

What will I be doing over the summer?:
During this time until the summer, no full lengths will be released. I'm going to spending this time writing material for my next three albums and putting together the concept series. I will, however, be releasing songs here and there. There are some chances that I can release an EP or two.

More information will be posted soon as time rolls along.
